Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the PhotoShare app (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them. How we handle personal data is covered separately by the Privacy Policy.

1. What the service is

PhotoShare is a short-lived sharing service for photos taken together on a trip. A trip and everything in it is deleted automatically at most 7 days after creation. It is not long-term storage — save the photos you want to keep to your own device before the trip expires; data deleted on expiry cannot be recovered.

2. Accounts

Using the service requires signing in with a social account (Google). Your account is for you alone, and the service is not available to anyone under 16 (under 14 in the Republic of Korea). You can delete your account and its data any time under Settings → Delete account.

3. Responsibility for content

• You keep the rights to the photos you upload, and you are responsible for them. We claim no ownership and process them only as needed to provide the service (storage, thumbnails, delivery to trip members).
• When you upload a photo containing other people, you are responsible for having their agreement to do so.
• Photos you receive from other members are for personal use; do not publish or distribute them without the consent of the people in them.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• upload content that violates the rights of others (likeness, copyright, privacy);
• upload unlawful content, child sexual abuse material, or content that harasses or threatens anyone;
• circumvent the service's limits or billing structure, or deliberately overload our servers (mass automated calls, modified clients, and the like);
• use another person's account or invite codes without permission.

5. Enforcement

If you violate these terms we may remove the content or the trip, and restrict or terminate your account, without prior notice. We cooperate with authorities where the law requires it.

6. Advertising

The service is funded by ads (Google AdMob). Watching a rewarded ad can temporarily raise a trip's limits; the kinds and caps of rewards may change without notice.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, and reflecting that the service is free of charge, we do not guarantee against interruptions, errors, or loss of data (including automatic deletion on expiry), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Never keep the only copy of a photo in this service.

8. Changes to and termination of the service

Features and limits may change as the service evolves. If we shut the service down, we will announce it in the app with at least the maximum trip lifetime (7 days) of notice.

9. Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update this page and the version and effective date above. Significant changes are also announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
